ISJA is a local community organization comprised of individuals faciliting , safari services in particular. The membership is comprised of Safari Jeep owners as well as Safari Jeep drivers. The present membership base is 172 and they engaged mainly in providing Safari related services in Yala, Bundala and Lunugamwehera National Parksin the Hambantota District of SriLanka .
 
The services includes providing/ organizing safari jeeps for day visits, arranging Night camping facilities and facilitating tourists who stays in bungalows in side the national parks. As an organization benefiting from the nature, ISJA is also concern of the well-being of the wildlife and assist park management. ISJA helps park management during drought seasons with providing water to fill the water holes for the use of the wild animals. They organize sramadana campaigns to repair roads in / to the park for the use of visitors. Furthermore, occasionally they take local school children to the park to show them the importance of the wildlife.
As measures to standardize their services, the members are dressed with a T-shirt with ISJA logo and Jeep’s are also having a sticker with logo and number of the jeep.
The association’s aim is to develop a central reservation system with the help of the entire member’s so that all jeeps can be given equal opportunity by sharing safaris through a roster system and ensure better, standardized services to the visitors while sharing tourism benefits equalley among the community members.
